Harkening back to NYC's infamous late night culture of the 70s and bars such as Max's Kansas City, PERFORMA will host electrifying late night get-togethers during the three-week run of the biennial at select bars and clubs throughout the city.

PERFORMA has combed through New York City to find our favorite venues and the ones that we think will spark spontaneous conversations, arguments about the works and hopefully spawn ideas for new work that will become part of PERFORMA in the future!

205 (Tuesdays), on 205 Chrystie Street, with its silver spray painted walls and industrial feel was designed as an homage to Andy Warhol¹s legendary Factory and makes us nostalgic for the past while simultaneously reminding us that the arts are alive and well in NYC (especially during the PERFORMA Biennial, of course). Wednesday night is a Performa Hotspot Double-header beginning with the youthful dining environment of the Brown Café (61 Hester St.) and later moving to Williamsburg's epicenter of performance, music and film, Monkeytown (58 Nth 3rd St between Wythe and Kent). B-Sides (Thursdays), at 204 Ave B between 12 and 13th Streets, is the epitome of a good East Village punk rock bar and brings us back to the days of CBGBs and Coney Island High with their amazing juke box, cool staff and cheap beers. A great place to hang. And right in the midst of Chelsea we have our Passerby Fridays (436 W 15th St.), an art world staple. Passerby is perfect place for relaxing after a busy week of PERFORMA events or hanging out all night to hear some fantastic music! OK - We'll give you Saturday night off - but on Sunday night come get warmed up for the coming week at Home Sweet Home, our favorite LES getaway. Nice and cozy and perfect for ending your weekend or getting the next week kicked-off.
