Luigi Negro
Four Italian artists, including Emilio Fantin, Luigi Negro, Giancarlo Norese, Cesare Pietroiusti and New York-based artist Joan Jonas will collaborate on this performance work. By combining semi-concrete, semi-absurdist methods with a wide variety of media, the artists will create stories, a play, and a collective peformance about sculptures and actual sculptors whose exposure has waned into oblivion.

Forgotten, Continuous, Influx: 30 hours at SculptureCenter

About the Artist
Luigi Negro, an artist and self-described sociologist and historian of economics whose work has been shown across Europe and the United States, focuses his practice on developing social designs and collaborative curatorial projects as forms of art. Negro lives and works in Lecce, Italy, as curator and artistic director for artist residencies at LoopHouse, a not-for-profit cultural association that encourages collaboration and exchange between Italians and artists abroad.
